Plain-language summary: OwnAMoment sells a symbolic novelty collectible — a numbered digital certificate naming you as the registered "keeper" of a second in history within our private registry, together with a cryptographic (SHA-256) fingerprint of that certificate recorded in the registry and publicly checkable on our verification page. It is a keepsake and a conversation piece. It is not a legal title, deed, security, financial instrument, investment, cryptocurrency, token, or blockchain asset of any kind — regardless of the payment method used to buy it.

1. What you are purchasing

A one-time service: generation of a unique, numbered digital certificate; recording of your chosen name against a specific historical second in the OwnAMoment private registry; and publication of a SHA-256 fingerprint of the certificate in that registry so that its authenticity can be verified. The deliverable is a high-resolution PDF, delivered on-screen immediately after payment confirmation.

2. What this is not

The certificate confers no legal ownership of time, dates, events, or any tangible or intangible property, and grants no rights enforceable against any person. The cryptographic fingerprint is an integrity and authenticity mechanism only; it is not a token, NFT, coin, or asset, is not recorded on a public blockchain, is not transferable, and has no market. Nothing here is an investment; there is no expectation of profit; nothing has resale value. Paying with cryptocurrency does not change any of this — crypto is accepted purely as a payment method, the same as a card.

3. Uniqueness within our registry

Within the OwnAMoment registry, each catalogued second is recorded to only one buyer, enforced at the database level. Once recorded, it is never re-issued. This uniqueness exists solely within our own registry and has no effect or recognition outside it.

4. Delivery and your right to cancel

Because each certificate is uniquely generated and supplied digitally immediately upon payment confirmation, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge — by checking the consent box at checkout — that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal once delivery of the digital certificate has begun, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where a non-waivable statutory right applies in your jurisdiction, it is unaffected.

5. Refunds

All sales are final once the certificate has been issued, except where a refund is required by law or where we fail to deliver. Card payments that fail to complete are automatically released. If two payments for the same moment ever collide, the later one is refunded (card) or refunded manually (crypto) and the moment is not double-issued. For any delivery problem, contact us and we will re-issue or refund.

6. Crypto payments

Cryptocurrency payments are processed by NOWPayments, a third-party payment processor. Network confirmation times and network fees are outside our control. The amount due is fixed in USD at checkout; exchange-rate movements after payment are irrelevant to the product delivered. We never ask you to send funds to a raw wallet address outside the processor's invoice page.

7. Acceptable use

Certificates are for personal, non-commercial, novelty use and gifting. You may not represent the certificate as conferring any legal right or financial value, nor use it to deceive any third party.

8. Content and taste

Our catalogue celebrates human achievement, discovery, and milestones. We deliberately exclude moments defined by tragedy or mass casualty, and we reserve the right to amend the catalogue at any time.

9. Privacy

We collect the name for the certificate and your email address, used solely for delivery and support. Card payments are processed by Paddle; crypto payments by NOWPayments; we never see or store card numbers or wallet private keys. The public registry displays only the keeper name you chose, the serial, and the fingerprint — never your email.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. The product is provided "as is" as a novelty item.
