Terms & disclosure

Plain-language summary: OwnAMoment sells a one-off symbolic digital collectible: a numbered PDF certificate and registry entry. It is not legal ownership of time, an investment, cryptocurrency, NFT or blockchain asset.

1. The product

Your purchase covers generation of a unique digital certificate, registration of the chosen keeper name against one catalogued moment, and a public SHA-256 fingerprint for verification. The certificate is delivered online after Paddle confirms payment.

2. Public information

The keeper name you provide, the moment, serial number and certificate fingerprint are public. Your purchase email and card information are not public. Use a chosen name if you do not want your legal name displayed.

3. Registry uniqueness

Each moment can be issued once within the OwnAMoment private registry. Database constraints and reservation logic prevent double issuance. This uniqueness has no legal effect outside our registry.

4. Payment and delivery

Paddle processes card payments as merchant of record. Prices are one-time charges in USD unless checkout clearly says otherwise; there is no subscription. You request immediate digital delivery. Where applicable law permits, you acknowledge that cancellation rights for supplied digital content may end once delivery begins. Non-waivable rights remain unaffected.

5. Refunds and collisions

Completed personalized certificates are final except where law requires otherwise or delivery fails. If two completed payments collide for the same moment, the later transaction is not issued and is submitted for refund or manual review. Chargebacks and approved refunds may change the public certificate status.

6. Recovery

You can reopen an active purchase using its serial number and purchase email on the recovery page. Keep both secure. Contact support if recovery fails.

7. Acceptable use

Do not present a certificate as legal title, financial value or authority, or use it to deceive anyone. Catalogue descriptions may be corrected when better sources are found without changing the purchased keeper record.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability relating to a purchase is limited to the amount paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

9. Privacy and contact

See the Privacy notice. For delivery, refund, legal or privacy questions, use the contact form.
